"A year and a half ago we decided to start looking for our first house. We used a variety of tools/websites to start off with but soon learned that most properties were handled by selling agents and that they would not engage with us as buyers unless we had a buying agent with us in the competitive Bay Area market which meant that we would miss out on all good opportunities. We started by getting a referral for a mortgage Broker who then referred Jerylann. We interviewed Jerylann at her office and we were particularly impressed by her knowledge about the process and the market, but on a personal level, we were really drawn by her direct and candid attitude. She also immediately focused on understanding our wants/needs and tailors her approach based on that. We interviewed a couple more agents but in the end, we decided to work with Jerylann. Turned out to be one of the best decisions we've taken in the last few years. We were just getting started, so we had very little knowledge or experience. Jerylann took the time to explain every detail of the process, the pros and cons of features in the properties, and how much time/money it would take to do improvements. She was proactive in looking up properties for us and most weekends we would have a list of properties lined up to go visit. Jerylann did all of the legwork to put together the itineraries and came to each tour very well-prepared. She never tried to push anything on us she actually pointed out to us that we should not feel pressured to put out an offer just because we had visited a high number of properties she reiterated she was there to find us the property that was right for us. We were out for a period of time and needed time to sort out personal matters when we were back Jerylann respected our time and space and she waited for us to be ready to reengage. She helped us make an offer on a property but she managed our expectations saying that given her knowledge, it would likely sell way above the asking price and it did. We were ready for the disappointment because Jerylann was candid with us and we quickly moved on to other properties. During one of the viewings, as we all walked to the car we spotted a "coming soon" sign and Jerylann took the initiative to go get the contact number and reach out to the seller. She was able to arrange a viewing before the house was even on the market. The house was perfect for us and met all our needs and most of our wants. Jerylann managed all interactions with the sellers, including setting the price, arranging additional visits, negotiating repairs, managing the seller's expectations while the loan approval was in progress, etc. She also again explained every step of the process, every document we signed, and every option we had. We felt totally informed and cared for throughout the entire process. The seller (who was both the owner and selling agent) later swung by the house after we had moved and he told me that he had been in this business for a long time and Jerylann was one of the most impressive agents he had had the pleasure to work with. Jerylann made an extremely complex, bureaucratic, and emotionally taxing process feel easy. We ended up completing the purchase successfully and moving into the house in a couple of weeks. As the first weeks went by, we identified a variety of additional small/medium issues. The house had been purchased "as is", so the seller didn't have any obligations. We reached out to Jerylann for advice and she took the initiative to contact the seller. She discussed the higher importance items with the seller and was able to get the seller to send contractors to the house to fix most of the issues. Over a year has passed in the meantime and we've had all sorts of expected homeowner things happen: Neighbor's tree falling due to the weather, issues with appliances, infiltrations, issues with the home warranty company, etc. Throughout all of these ordeals, I felt comfortable asking Jerylann for advice and she was always available to point me in the right direction and step in if necessary to help out. Note that she is under no obligation to keep helping us, yet she does. And to me that is the final point locking down a perfect 5-star rating: She actually cares about doing her job right for us as customers, but more importantly, cares about us and our well-being as people. That is consistently going above and beyond."

We started our house hunt at the beginning of 2013. I already knew Jerylann from a business connections group through the Mountain View Chamber of Commerce. I trusted her completely and knew that she would do a great job as our real estate agent. I sure was right! Jerylann did more than just send us listings that met our criteria. She also followed up by email about specific properties that she thought would be a particularly good fit and offered to show us as many as we would like, both at houses and just with her. We really appreciated her attention to detail and observations when we would visit a home together. She's a pro and gives great advice. At the end of the summer, we found a property that felt like home. We were finally ready to put in our first offer (we were waiting for just the right fit before moving forward with the offer process). She walked us through everything effortlessly. She knows the market so well that she was able to advise us on how much to offer to be competitive without wasting our money. We ended up being one of the top bids and had to go through a bidding war. She was the best advocate we could have had in this situation. Despite the difficult market situation, we were able to get our home our first time going through the offer process. We credit Jerylann for this success. Even after we closed, Jerylann stayed in touch with us and helped us find contractors to renovate our home. She even offered to help with ideas for renovations! She cares so much about her clients and it shows through all of her actions. We had talked with other real estate agents in the past and felt uncomfortable. With Jerylann, we know that she always has our best interests at heart. That's why she has so much repeat business from past clients. (I had no business looking at houses at the time, as you would later come to find out this is just a sick hobby of mine) However, a strange turn of events found you listing our house a year later, but even stranger was that within a few weeks, we were taking it off the market and not accepting any of the offers that were coming in. Stranger yet, you understood our circumstances (too involved to go into) and stuck with us down a very long real estate road. This road was not one you had traveled down before, but you brought your professionalism and desire to learn and you helped us through a process full of red tape!
